Error Code 1000: An Internal Error While Processing Request
The basic reason behind the error is when QuickBooks is corrupted. Due to corrupted data, the Software Development Kit is not able to fetch data. The error mainly occurs in Enterprise File which is mostly in the receiving payment area and Time-Tracking.
The error doesn’t hold any specific reason. It has various technical and functional reasons like network connectivity issues, repeated alteration in transactions, unexpected software, or QuickBooks shutdown. You can also face this issue in the Pro and Premier versions of QuickBooks.
What Resolution Should You Take?
Method #1: Edit the contents of the QBPOS Shell folder
- Open the Task Manager by using the key CTRL+ALT+DELETE
- The Process Tab will open. In the process tab, go for QBPOS Shell. Now, click on End Task.
- Now, go to the Start Menu and then select Open Windows Explorer or File Explorer.
- Here, View Tab will open and you will see the checkbox of the hidden items.
If you are Windows 7 User: Click on organize. Select the folder and then click on the search option.
Now, click on the My Computer or This PC and then follow the path we have mentioned below
C:\Users\{User logged on}\AppData\Local\Intuit\QBPOSShell.exe…\{last modified folder}.
- Here, you will get a file: config file. Right-click on it and select rename it to the name “user.configold.”
- Now, restart your system and then try to open QuickBooks POS
Method #2: Create a New Administrator Account in Windows
Windows 8, 8.1, and 10
- Go to the Start Menu, right-click on it. Click on Control Panel.
- Now, select User Accounts and then select User Accounts.
- To manage your accounts, click on it and then add a new user and then click on add a user.
- If you don’t have Microsoft Account, click on Log-in without Microsoft Account and then click on Local Account.
- Click on the User Name, Enter here. Don’t enter the password, leave it blank. Click on Next and then click on Finish.
- Now, restart your system. Use new admin account to log-in
- Now, check QuickBooks POS by opening this.
